Geophysical Assessments

Geophysics uses the physical properties of the earth and provides a non-intrusive means of examining the subsurface.

The most commonly employed methods used by SITECH are;

  • Ground Penetrating Radar and
  • Electromagnetic and Magnetic

The methods are used for environmental hazards such as soil contamination, underground storage tanks, drum’s and buried wastes.

We also utilize additional geophysical methods as follows:

  • Borehole geophysics
  • Electrical Resistivity
  • Gravity and Microgravity
  • High Resolution
  • Seismic Refraction
  • Seismic Velocity

These methods can delineate landfills and pathways for contaminant flow, as well as conduct hydrologic investigations such as water table mapping, cavities and voids, faults, subsurface pipelines and utilities, cavities and voids and more recently for forensic purposes.

SITECH offers innovative technology to support site assessment needs.
